Born and raised in Atlanta, GA, Jessica moved to Los Angeles, CA in 2017 to begin her studies and collegiate soccer career at the University of Southern California. At USC, she built the foundation for her career in brand strategy, copywriting, and content marketing, graduating from the Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism as well as earning a minor in Environmental Studies. Prior to joining Darien Group, Jessica worked at a female-owned and -operated fashion start-up in Los Angeles, learning the entrepreneurial ropes and wearing many hats.
Jessica joined Darien Group as an Account Manager in March 2022, eager for the opportunity to maintain and build client relationships while growing the presence of the DG brand in the private equity and real estate investment space. As Jessica’s mastery and understanding of the financial services industry grew, she transitioned into her next role as Brand Strategist, where she worked closely with Darien’s President and Founder, Charlie Ittner, to develop messaging foundations and strategies to be applied to websites, presentations, and other collateral.
Since joining, Jessica has worked with over 50 clients, leading brand strategy and copywriting engagements for more than 20 presentations and 15 websites. Recently promoted to Director of Brand Strategy, she now leads the firm’s Brand Strategy department, continuously evolving DG’s offerings to align with clients’ needs and objectives. What Jessica loves most about her role is the trust and long-term relationships she has built – both with clients and her DG colleagues. For her, the most rewarding part of the job is seeing a project come to life after countless hours of collaboration and effort, knowing both teams are proud of the final result.
Today, Jessica lives in San Diego, CA with her boyfriend (Maxwell), their chunky cat (Stitch), and their chiweenie (Dot). Jessica enjoys the warm weather on the West Coast where she can hike, go to the beach, and (try to) surf all year round. She spends her free time volunteering at the Farm Animal Refuge in Campo, CA and you can usually find her cuddling with a four-legged friend.
