Kayla Deang

From Chicago's south suburbs, Kayla moved through several major cities before settling in Boston's North End. She graduated from the University of Missouri, Columbia with a degree in Business Administration, focusing on Marketing—driven by her passion for understanding business strategies and helping organizations thrive in the digital landscape. Prior to joining Darien Group, she worked as an Account Coordinator, managing digital marketing initiatives across industries where she developed a passion for relationship building and strategic marketing.

Kayla joined Darien Group in 2023 as an Account Manager, working closely with President and Founder Charlie Ittner on client work and business objectives. Her enthusiasm for brand strategy, creative direction, and collaboration flourished while managing projects focused on delivering exceptional service and establishing trusted client partnerships. In December 2023, she became Account Director, managing more engagements and deepening her commitment to client experience. She's since partnered with over 40 clients, finding particular joy in the early stages of projects where she seeks to deeply understand clients' objectives and ecosystems.

Her dedication to building processes and streamlining operations led to her current role as Director of Client Experience, where she oversees all client accounts and maximizes value for team members and clients. She loves working with her small but nimble account management team who continuously helps shape the function and propel clients forward.

Today, Kayla lives in Boston with her partner Sam, though her adventures often take her elsewhere. New York and Switzerland top her list of favorite places, with Japan and the Philippines next on her horizon. When not exploring new cities, she seeks out physical challenges through running, skiing, and rock climbing, or discovers new cafes to enjoy coffee with friends.
